Dr. Kurt Midyett is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Medical Director of the Diabetes Program at Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Children's Mercy was named one of the top ten children's hospitals in America by Child magazine and was awarded the rare magnet designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center for its high quality of patient care. In line with this commitment to excellence in pediatric care, Dr. Midyett is one of 17 Children's Mercy physicians who provide services to 23 outreach specialty clinics throughout Missouri and Kansas, in addition to his daily responsibilities at Children's Mercy hospital.

Dr. Midyett's professional interests include the diagnosis and treatment of short stature and growth disorders. He also has interests in Types 1 and 2 diabetes, insulin pump therapy, emerging diabetes management technology, and autoimmune disorders associated with diabetes, as well as celiac disease, precocious puberty, thyroid disease, and cystic fibrosis-related disorders.
