You are invited to join this educational forum that offers a variety of information and intelligent discussion surrounding data and related issues focused on the topic of IGFD (IGF-1 deficiency).

For the past 40 years, physicians evaluating children with short stature focused on determining whether or not the child had growth hormone deficiency.

Most children with growth hormone deficiency have low levels of IGF-1. This disease state is also referred to as Secondary IGF-1 deficiency.

With the recent approval of recombinant human Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (rhIGF-1), the IGF system needs to be revisited and candidates for treatment discussed and debated.

The objectives of the IGFD Forum are:
  • To create a platform to increase awareness of IGFD amongst practicing physicians
  • To create an educational forum for information and discussion surrounding data and related issues
  • To become an educational resource for healthcare professionals
